PLASMA DISPLAY DEVICE AND PROCESSING METHOD THEREOF

A plasma display apparatus and a method for processing the same are provided to compensate for gain precisely by using a front filter characteristic table when a front filter is used. A plasma display apparatus includes a gain compensating unit(612) and a plasma display panel(604). The gain compensating unit compensates for the gain of plural image signals every color. The plasma display panel displays images corresponding to the image signals with the compensated gain by applying sustain pulses. The gain compensating unit compensates for the gain of the image signals every color when accumulated addition values based on a time corresponding to start time, image load rates, and the number of the sustain pulses are varied.
