<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-resolution and compact line head and an image forming apparatus equipped with the line head. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of light emitting element groups 295 are arranged in two dimensions, and light beams emitted from each light emitting element group 295 are imaged on a photoreceptor drum surface (face to be scanned) by a micro-lens (imaging lens) ML of an enlarging optical system. An arrangement interval of the light emitting element groups 295 at a substrate 293 is widened, so that a relatively wide clearance region AR is formed. A driving circuit D295 and a wiring line WL are arranged in each clearance region AR. Full driving circuit space and wiring line space can be secured on the substrate 293 without increase of a substrate size even if the number of light emitting elements 2951 is increased to enhance the resolution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
