<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet, which is employed for printing by a post-chelating system or the like and has a dye receiving layer excellent in printing performance at high speed printing, releasability, durability or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal transfer image receiving sheet equipped with a dye receiving layer on one side of a base material, the dye receiving layer includes a metallic ion-containing compound enabling to react upon a chelatable thermally diffusible dye and a modified polyvinyl acetal resin expressed by the constitutional formula, wherein X represents a hydrogen atom or an acetyl group, Y represents a group having a urethane group (-OCONHR', wherein R' is an organic group) l, m and n (in molar percentage in each constitutional unit) lie in the following ranges: 50<l<85, 10<m<50 and 0<n<30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
