The bar has a pipe (2), an actuating bar (13,19) that is longitudinally movable relative to one of the pipes and an elastic spring element (31) in a longitudinal direction (14) of the longitudinal elastic bar (1). An end of the spring element is coupled with the actuating bar in case of a pressure loading of the longitudinal elastic bar and another opposite end of the spring element is supported in a fixed manner relative to the pipe. The latter opposite end of the spring element is coupled with actuating bar in case the longitudinal elastic bar is subjected to a tensile load.
