PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard emergency reporting system capable of accurately recognizing an accident of a vehicle stuck in a crossing, to which a passing train approaches, for automatically reporting an emergency. SOLUTION: It is determined whether the vehicle is in a crossing, to which the passing train approaches, or not according to an image of a crossing gate in a closing condition acquired by an onboard camera. When existence of the vehicle is determined, it is determined whether the vehicle can evacuate from the crossing or not according to a distance and a shape of an obstacle before/after the vehicle obtained by a sonar, and if it is impossible, a report is given to an emergency institution.
