PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise generation resulting from shake of a chain. SOLUTION: In the chain 12 structured by alternatively connecting inner links 26 and outer links 28, circulate drive is conducted between a sprocket 18 on a driving side and sprockets 14, 16 on a following side. The chain 12 is provided with a gap reduction member S for reducing a gap between the inner link plate 34 of the inner link 26 and the outer link plate 38 of the outer link 28. The gap reduction member S is provided in at least either one of an outer surface 40 of the inner link plate 34 and an inner surface 42 of the outer link plate 38 facing the outer surface 40.
