PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic measuring apparatus capable of improving operability of the user. SOLUTION: The electronic measuring apparatus 1 has a vertical long handy-type casing 2. In the casing 2, there are an electric control unit 22, a drive 7, and a displacer section 10 operated by the drive 7. Various kinds of keys 18-21 and LEDs 25, 26 are arranged on the outer surface of the casing 2. The electric control unit 22 controls the LEDs 25, 26, based on the change in the position of the displacer section 10 and/or that in the tip, and hence displays and outputs information on the next appropriate displacement of the displacer section 10.
