A novel Burkholderia sp. HY-10 strain isolated from various insects is provided to produce efficiently lipase. A lipase produced from the same strain is provided to show excellent lipid degradation activity under a relatively wide range of temperature and pH condition, thereby being variously used for promoting perfume, a diagnosis reagent, wastewater treatment, decomposition of oil and fat and living organism conversion. A Burkholderia sp. HY-10 strain producing lipase is deposited as a deposition no. KCTC 10963BP. A lipase is produced from the strain and is characterized in that it includes a sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 3 and shows the maximum activity at a temperature of 50-70 deg.C under pH of 8.5-9.0. A method for producing the lipase comprises the steps of: (a) after culturing the Burkholderia sp. HY-10 strain or a transformant prepared by introducing a recombinant vector including a gene coding the lipase into a host cell in a culture medium including a vegetable oil, centrifuging the culture solution to obtain a crude enzymatic solution therefrom; and (b) purifying the crude enzymatic solution. Further, an activity of the lipase becomes increased when Ca, Zn, K, Mg, Na or Co is added.
