ELECTROPHORETIC DISPLAY

An electrophoretic display device is provided to display a white image using electrophoretic particles having a white color but not using additive color mixture, thereby improving color reproducibility and display performance. A thin film transistor is formed on an insulating substrate(110). A pixel electrode(190) is electrically connected to the thin film transistor. A partition wall(191) demarcates neighboring pixel electrodes. An ink part(300) is formed on a portion of the pixel electrode, which is exposed by the partition wall. Electrophoretic members(300) containing electrophoretic particles(314,315) are dispersed in the ink part. Each of the electrophoretic particles has one of white, blue, green, and red, or one of white, yellow, magenta, and cyan. A common electrode display substrate(200) is formed on the ink part and the partition wall, wherein the common electrode display substrate has a common electrode(220).
