APPARATUS OF LASER WELDING FOR SEALING I-125 SEED TITANIUM TUBE AND METHOD THEREOF

A device for laser welding of an I-125 seed titanium tube is provided to make it not necessary to manually change the location of the I-125 seed titanium tube when welding the I-125 seed titanium tube, perform a welding operation by a laser beam irradiated without rotating a fixed I-125 seed titanium tube, and optimize welding conditions of the I-125 seed titanium tube, and a welding method according to the device is provided. In a device(1) for laser welding of an I-125 seed titanium tube for manufacturing a very small sealed radiation source by welding the I-125 radiation source to the Ti tube by laser beam after installing an I-125 radiation source in a titanium(Ti) tube, the device for laser welding of the I-125 seed titanium tube comprises: a fixing jig(10) for fixing the I-125 seed titanium tube ; a rotary jig(30) connected to one side face of the fixing jig to rotate the fixing jig to a predetermined angle; and cooling disks(50,50') respectively formed on top and bottom faces of the fixing jig. The fixing jig has an installation hole(11') penetrated into a central part thereof to insert the I-125 seed titanium tube into the installation hole. The cooling disks have inserting holes(51,51') penetrated into central parts thereof to insert the I-125 seed titanium tube into the inserting holes.
