Microscope having a device for recognition of optical components

A method for detecting optical components in the light path of a microscope, in which preferably the spectral properties of the components are determined in at least four discrete spectral zones, outside of the light path of the microscope, and from the determined values, an arrangement of these values results by comparison with previously determined or stored values. An independent claim is included for a microscope with a device for detecting optical components in light path.
