PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a solid-state electrolytic capacitor that can highly precisely arrange a positive electrode of a capacitor element in a lamination direction, and can efficiently manufacture solid-state electrolytic capacitors. SOLUTION: An preliminary cutting process carries out preliminary cutting on a part close to one end of a plate-like body, which will become an edge part of positive electrode in a capacitor element from one end to the other in its widthwise direction. The preliminary cutting is done through dying or chaff-cutting for severance of metal, wherein an edge located in a projecting direction is cut off rather than in the cut location. A laser cutting process irradiates laser beams along the alternate long and short dash line B in a laminatig direction from above to do laser cutting, and eliminates the positive electrode just by one sheet that is located in the direction projecting from the alternate long and short dash line B as the separating location for laser cutting part unsuited to the product.
