PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which can suitably prevent skewing at the time of paper-feeding of a recording medium regardless of a change of paper-feeding conditions of the recording medium, and to provide a conveyance device, and a method for controlling conveyance of paper-feeding. SOLUTION: A sum of a PWM signal at a time point when a tip of the fed recording medium is detected by a sensor, and a preliminarily set bias value is compared with a maximum output value of the PWM signal. If the sum is smaller than the maximum output value, it is monitored that the value of the PWM signal increases by an amount of the bias value. If the sum is not smaller than the maximum output value, it is monitored that a conveyance speed of the recording medium decreases to lower than a preliminarily set threshold value. On the basis of the result of monitoring, control is carried out to stop driving of a DC motor which supplies a driving force to a roller used in paper-feeding and conveyance.
