A plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent effectively dark image sticking by varying the apply time of a reset pulse. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel(100) and drivers(200,300,400). The plasma display panel includes scan and sustain electrodes. The drivers extend the sustain period of a reset pulse supplied to the scan electrodes in a sub-field, which decreases the apply time of a sustain pulse supplied to scan or sustain electrodes according to the increment of an APL(Average Power Level). When the sustain period of a reset pulse is extended, the reset pulse has a smaller voltage amplitude than when the sustain period of the reset pulse is not extended. |
