A water cooling type laundry dryer is provided to improve heat exchanging efficiency and to reduce a maintenance cost by installing an open loop and using gas as a heat source. A water cooling type laundry dryer comprises a case, a drum, a heating unit(130), and a heat exchanger(150). The case forms exterior appearance. The drum is installed in the case and stores the laundry. The heating unit heats air for the drum. The heat exchanger cooling air discharged from the drum by using water. The air which is passing through the heat exchanger is discharged to the outside. The drum is rotatably installed in the case. The heating unit is a gas burner mixing gas with air and combusting the mixture of the gas and air.
