#CMT# #/CMT# The assembly has a rigid shell for protecting head of a user against impacts, and a cap (3) made of an extensible material. The shell is threaded above the cap comprising a comfort element (8) e.g. foam pad, which is placed on a crown zone corresponding to a zone surrounding top of the head. A chin-strap maintains the shell on the head, and a self gripping band e.g. Velcro(RTM: hook and loop fastener), is placed inside the shell. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Protection assembly i.e. helmet, for protecting head of a user e.g. skier, against impacts or heat during practice of sports such as snow sports, cycling, inline skating, ice skating or skateboarding. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The assembly ensures thermal protection of the head of the user by retracting the shell even if the user does not require the protection against impacts. The cap is made of an extensible material, so that the assembly is easily adapted to the morphology of the user. The self gripping band is placed inside the shell so as to improve the modularity of the head protection assembly.
