摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce combustion noise and emission in a transitional operation state, in a control device of a diesel engine. SOLUTION: A variable valve train is controlled by calculating the target valve timing (Step 100). A deviation between the target valve timing and the actual valve timing and a variation in the actual valve timing are calculated (Step 102). The swirl ratio and the EGR ratio are estimated based on these values (Step 104). The fuel injection timing or a pilot injection quantity is corrected on the basis of its estimated swirl ratio and EGR ratio.
