<p>The invention relates to railway transport, in particular to the side frame of a railway truck. The lower corner of a spring aperture is embodied in the form of the step junction between the frame vertical column and a lower chord. The top surface of the junction is embodied in the form of a continuation of a crossbar which is cast into the flanged edge of the frame fabrication holes and gradually transforms into wedge spring stops. The external surface of a spring stop matches the shape of transformation of the side wall of the lower chord into the side wall of an inclined chord. The transformation of the side wall of the lower chord into the side wall of an inclined chord is obtained by means of mutually conjugated radii. In addition, an U-shaped junction is embodied along the mating contour of an internal pedestal guide with the inclined chord and forms an opening therein. The crossing of the top horizontal chord with the vertical side surfaces of the frame in an area above a journal box coincides with the transversal bearing surface of the support boss of the internal pedestal guide and the vertical side walls of the frame are provided with support bosses, which are embodied on said walls in the area above a journal box and the external surfaces of which are positioned at anangle to the horizontal bearing surface of the pedestal opening. Said invention makes it possible to develop a structural design for the side frame of a railway truck exhibiting improved strength, service life and operational characteristics by redistributing stresses and reducing stress concentration level in the critical spots of the frame.</p> |
