<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet image forming apparatus where, even if a recycling carrier liquid is used, the quality of the image to be formed is not deteriorated. <P>SOLUTION: A carrier liquid added to preparation pots 26Y, 26C, 26M, 26BK in respective liquid developing devices 7Y to 7BK is a recycling liquid. A reused yellow liquid developer is added to the preparation pot 26Y in the liquid developing device 7Y for yellow after the carrier liquid is extracted by a second carrier extraction means 14. On the other hand, used black, magenta, cyan liquid developers are joined in an assembly path 13, and, in a state where all are mixed, they are added to a first carrier liquid extraction means 12.
