A liquid crystal display is provided to prevent generation of texture around a connector to improve brightness while improving side visibility and response speed. First and second gate lines are separately extended in a first direction. Data lines are extended in a second direction, crossing the first and second gate lines. First and second thin film transistors are connected with the first and second gate lines, and the data lines respectively. A first sub-pixel electrode(82a) is connected with the first thin film transistor. A second sub-pixel electrode(82b) is connected with the second thin film transistor, having a pair of upper and lower electrodes(82b_2) located at upper and lower parts of the first sub-pixel electrode, and a side electrode(82b_1) arranged in parallel with the first sub-pixel electrode and sides of the upper and lower electrodes. A connector(86) connects the side electrode with the upper and lower electrodes, wherein at least a part of the connector forms an angle of 45 degrees to the gate lines.
