<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen pump element effectively using a whole electrode face by reducing electric resistance of the electrode face and suppressing drop of impressed voltage, and to provide an oxygen pump device efficiently transferring heat from a heating means to the oxygen pump element and reducing necessary electric power for heating. <P>SOLUTION: First electrode films 22 are provided on both faces of an oxygen ion conductive substrate 21, porous second electrode films 23 with higher conductivity than the first electrode films 22 are provided on surfaces of the first electrode films 22, and voltage is supplied from the second electrode film 23 to the first electrode film 22. By this, since voltage drop in a planar direction of the first electrode film 22 can be suppressed, electrode reaction with oxygen occurs in a whole face of the first electrode film 22, and oxygen ion conductivity of the oxygen pump element can be improved. Since temperature distribution by self heat generation of the electrode film can be reduced, fracture such as a crack of the oxygen pump element is suppressed, and superior durability can be realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
