<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle display device preventing an user in a driver's seat from operating an icon or a button restricting the operation of the user in the driver's seat, and also to provide a method of displaying the on-vehicle display device. <P>SOLUTION: In a display monitor 16 making different image visually recognized from a driver's seat side and an image visually recognized from a front passenger seat side, a menu button 32c restricting the operation of the user in the driver's seat is not indicated in a driver's seat image during vehicle traveling.
