PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static eliminator capable of monitoring an amount of ion discharging with suppressing complication of a layout structure or cabling of opposing electrodes. SOLUTION: The static eliminator carries out a static eliminating operation of a charged body not shown in a figure by generating plus and minus ions in a period (1), monitors an amount of discharging of the positive ion based on above sampling voltage Vs by driving only a double voltage rectifying circuit 13 in a period (2), and monitors an amount of discharging of the negative ion based on above sampling voltage Vs by driving only a double voltage rectifying circuit 10 in a period (3).
