PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laser scanning optical apparatus in which a deflector is made thin, the cost is reduced and bow is reduced on respective faces to be scanned. SOLUTION: The laser scanning optical apparatus includes: laser diodes 1a to 1d; a deflector 5 which deflects luminous fluxes emitted from the respective laser diodes 1a to 1d; a scanning optical system which focuses the luminous fluxes deflected with the deflector 5 onto photoreceptor drums 10a to 10d with first, second and third optical systems 6, 7 and 8; and an optical path separation means arranged in the scanning optical system. When the luminous fluxes from the respective laser diodes 1a to 1d are made diagonally incident with respective angles with a subscanning direction onto the deflector 5, and the luminous fluxes are named as the luminous fluxes Ba, Bb, Bc and Bd, respectively, in the order of the position in the height in the subscanning direction Z on the incident face of the second optical system 7, the laser diodes are arranged so that the luminous fluxes Ba and Bb are parallel to each other, the luminous fluxes Bc and Bd are parallel to each other, and the set of the luminous fluxes Ba and Bb and the set of the luminous fluxes Bc and Bd are not parallel to each other.
