PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL, AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of implementing both suppression of degradation of luminous efficiency and suppressing of discharge delay. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel is structured such that fine particle crystals 216a and 216b containing crystals of metal oxide are arranged on a surface of a protective layer 16; and when it is assumed that a region on the surface of the protective layer 16 facing to a display electrode pair 14 or an address electrode 22, and a region on the surface of the protective layer 16 facing to a narrowed part sandwiched between a scanning electrode 13 and a sustaining electrode 12 are a first region and a second region, respectively, the first region and the second region include parts having larger area density of the fine particle crystals 216a and 216b than that of the fine particle crystals 216a and 216b in a region other than the first region and the second region on the surface of the protective layer 16.
