In a bearing arrangement for the bottom rolls of a textile drafting mechanism comprising a roller bearing mounted in a bearing bracket which is open at the top and is fixed to the machine frame, the outer race 13 of the bearing is displaceable axially in both directions from its operating position, in which it overlaps seals 12, 121 which are mounted at the ends of the bearing, to facilitate cleaning of the seals. The sealing member 12 adjacent the bearing has a larger diameter than the outer member 12<SP>1</SP>. The outer seal may consist of a collar on the roll. The outer race 13 is located in the bearing bracket by a pin 15 which engages a recess 131 in the race. A cover 16 extends over the outer race 13 and has an opening closed by a detachable plug 19 located adjacent a lubricating aperture 14 in the outer race 13. |
