The method involves requesting a service by a communication terminal (1) of a service user, which is provided by a service server (4). A service billing message concerning the service is transmitted (S2) from a communication network element to an accounting system (6). The accounting system ascertains that minimum two accounts (K1,K2,K3) are provided for the billing of service provided. A selection message with information is transmitted (S6) to the communication terminal. After the selection of the account information by the terminal device, the account information is transmitted (S8) to the accounting system over the selected account, through which the accounting system is moved in a position, for billing the service provided over selected account.
