PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which can easily set an operation time. SOLUTION: A drum-type washing and drying machine starts or stops operation from the time counted by a timer 80 and a prescribed time by setting the time by selecting by depressing a timer set operating key 67 an operation stopping timer screen on which the time the operation stops can be set and an operation starting timer screen on which the operation time of the drum-type washing and drying machine starts can be set by displaying the time required for the operation of the drum washing and drying machine on a liquid crystal panel 75.
