PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of suppressing separation at a terminal of a belt layer and suppressing breaking of a carcass cord even when it is used under the severe condition similar to a racing tire. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire 1, a belt reinforcement layer 9 is arranged between an end of the innermost belt layer 7 and a carcass layer 5. An angle of the belt reinforcement layer 9 relative to a tire circumferential direction if made to 88-90°, width W relative to a tire width direction is made to 10-20% of width Wb of the innermost belt layer 7, and length P projected from the terminal 7a of the innermost belt layer 7 is made to 1-4% of the width Wb of the innermost belt layer 7.
