<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical material which has a fine fiber diameter, high flexibility, and is comparatively easily worked into various shapes, and has bone regenerating ability and cell culture ability. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet type medical material 10 is formed by integrating a number of covered fiber 11 into a mesh shape with spaces therebetween. The covered fiber 11 includes a core material 13 comprising flexible synthetic resin fiber and a cover layer 14 comprising titanium or titanium compound set around the core material 13. The medical material 10 is used wound as in a sheet form around a bone, and also is usable as a cell propagation medium used ex vivo or a hard tissue inducing material used in the living body by laminating into a block form or forming into a cylindrical shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
