PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture electrophotographic photoreceptors in which a uniform photosensitive film free of unevenness has been formed in a good yield. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing such electrophotographic photoreceptors by cleaning surfaces of cylindrical substrates 23 and coating the surfaces with a coating solution of photoreceptor materials to form photosensitive films, when the surfaces of the cylindrical substrates 23 are immersion-coated with the coating solution 44, the cylindrical substrates 23 are vibrated in a state where the cylindrical substrates 23 are supported by a cylindrical substrate holding structure by applying to the cylindrical substrates 23 a vibrational frequency larger than the natural frequency of the cylindrical substrates 23 when the bottoms of the cylindrical substrates 23 are in non-contact with the solution level 24 of the coating solution 44.
