The grilling device has a grilling grate(20) which is rotatable around an essentially vertical rotational axis(11), wherein the flame region (30) is provided in a circle sector (21) with regard to the rotational axis. The circle sector of the flame region covers an angle of less than about 200 degrees, preferably between 60 and 120 degrees. The grilling device has a central standing foot (12) with regard to the grilling grate, the rotational axis being arranged in the standing foot. The grilling grate is preferably driven by a motor. An independent claim is included for a method for grilling grilled products.
