A sub-miniature linear vibrator is provided to increase the volume of vibration and improve response rate by moving a mover in a vertical linear way. A sub-miniature linear vibrator has a main body constituted by an upper case and a lower case. A stator(100) is mounted on the lower case of the main body, and includes a printed circuit board on which an annular field coil(12), a resonating manual element(14), and a frequency generating control chip(16) are arranged. A mover(200) includes an annular weight(22) and an annular permanent magnet(24) arranged beneath a bracket having an air vent hole, and an elastic spring(26) connected to a bottom surface of the upper case and a peripheral part of the air vent hole of the bracket. The annular permanent magnet is arranged in the vicinity of the annular field coil, in such a manner that the annular permanent magnet is positioned adjacently to an upper side portion of the annular field coil.
