<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small type optical pickup inhibiting incidence of stray light to a photodetector, and preventing a failure of a servo signal or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup is provided with a reflecting optical device 70 which reflects all of the return light (signal light), which is returned from a recording layer reading a recording medium 8 and of which the light path is changed by a beam splitter 4, to a photodetector 30 side, but does not reflect the return light (stray light) from other than the recording layer to the photodetector 30 side. As the reflecting optical device 70, for example, a reflecting film having a reflecting part in the central part and a non-reflecting part in the periphery of the reflecting part can be mentioned. Since the signal light and the stray light can be discriminated by this reflecting optical device 70, the incidence of the stray light to the photodetector 30 can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
