A neon light absorbing film with a neon light absorbing adhesive layer of adhesive agent that so as to avoid changing of neon light absorptivity between before and after aging operation subsequent to coating drying, is a polymer with satisfactory crosslink density even immediately after coating drying, in which a neon light absorbing dye represented by a cyanine dye is stabilized by means of an additive, etc. to thereby retain excellent stability even in a heat resistance test or wet heat resistance test and keep the haze value thereof low. Further, there is provided an optical filter utilizing the film. Combining of an adhesive agent composed of a thermally crosslinkable acrylic aliphatic resin of 100OE0<SUP>4</SUP> or higher weight average molecular weight and a crosslinking agent, a cyanine neon light absorbing dye and a clay mineral has led to the developments of a neon light absorbing film with a neon light absorbing adhesive layer retaining excellent stability even in a heat resistance test or wet heat resistance test and keeping the haze value thereof low and an optical filter utilizing the film.
