PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering material for filters which has high collectability, generates a lower-pressure loss as compared with conventional products, and is used for filters of high performance to HEPA classes. SOLUTION: A fiber laminate body is prepared by combining a fiber layer A made of a fiber with an average fiber diameter of 10μm or less and with a basis weight of 40 gsm, and a fiber layer B made of a fiber with a fineness of 0.5-100 dtex (its fiber diameter is larger than the average fiber diameter of the fiber composing the fiber layer A) and with a basis weight of 10-500 gsm with heat fusion of at least one kind of thermoplastic resins contained in the fiber composing the fiber layer A or the fiber layer B is used as the filtering material for filters. The fiber composing at least one layer of the fiber layer A and the fiber layer B is used as a composite fiber constituted of at least two kinds of thermoplastic resins having a difference of a melting point of 10°C or higher, and both the layers are preferably integrated through heat fusion of lower melting point components of the composite fiber.
