An n-bit CPU(Central Processing Unit) and a data burst read method using the CPU are provided to burst-read data having a bandwidth greater than n bits using an n-bit CPU without decreasing a processing speed and occupying a large area of a program memory. A CPU(300) includes a control unit(310), k n-bit accumulators(350,352,354,356), input ports, and burst read registers(360,362). Here, k is a natural number greater than 2. The control unit performs the analysis and execution of instructions. The input ports are respectively connected to the accumulators. The burst read registers outputs a signal, which simultaneously stores n-bit data signals obtained by segmenting input data according to a single instruction in the respective accumulators, to the control unit.
