An image forming system and a driver installation method thereof are provided to install a driver of an image forming device to a host easily without information, such as an IP(Internet Protocol) address or a model name of the image forming device, by receiving driver information from the selected image forming device. A plurality of image forming devices(200a, 200b, 200c) transmit the driver information according to a user selection. A plurality of host devices(100a, 100b, 100c) install the driver corresponding to the driver information received from the selected image forming device in a driver installation mode. The driver information includes the IP address and ID of the image forming device. The image forming device transmits the driver information to the host device in a broadcasting mode.
