PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping valve which increases its increasing rate of damping force in accordance with the increase of a piston speed. SOLUTION: In this damping valve 51 of a hydraulic buffer, an opening area is reduced in accordance with the increase of piston speed, and thus the increasing rate of damping force is increased.
