<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive recorder which will not decide to start recording that uses an acceleration sensor so that the recording of images do not start erroneously, even when a vehicle travels on a road having many irregulaties or on a rail road crossing, and when the vehicle oscillates. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of cameras 5-8 are mounted on a vehicle, and the periphery of the vehicle is photographed extending to 360°; distance up to an object in the periphery of the vehicle is computed, based on the images which are picked up with the cameras 5-8; and the distance to the object in the periphery of the vehicle is also acquired with a plurality of sonars 10-14. When the distance up to the object in the periphery of the vehicle becomes smaller than a prescribed distance, the images picked up with the camera 5-8 are recorded to a nonvolatile memory 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
