PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly return oil to a compressor in a mounting structure of an expansion valve with a reduced number of positions of leakage of a refrigerant. SOLUTION: A case 11 for storing the expansion valve 1 is disposed between an evaporator outlet pipe 10 from an evaporator and a low-pressure pipe 13 to the compressor. A high-pressure pipe 15 from a receiver and an inlet port 21 of the expansion valve 1 are connected to each other and an evaporator entrance pipe 12 and an exit port 22 of the expansion valve 1 are connected to each other inside the case 11, so that the place where the refrigerant may leak to atmospheric air is only a place sealed with an O-ring 17 in the mounting position of the expansion valve 1. Inside the case 11, the evaporator outlet pipe 10 and the low-pressure pipe 13 are disposed lower than the high-pressure pipe 15 and the evaporator entrance pipe 12, so that there will be no oil puddle in the case 11.
