<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate assembly and a planar lighting system having a thin shape and light weight, capable of emitting uniform illumination light without uneven brightness, capable of increasing the size and having high light use efficiency and front face brightness. <P>SOLUTION: This light guide plate assembly is provided with a light guide plate including a light emitting face and a light incidence end part, formed to have a shape in which thickness orthogonal to the light emitting face increases as going away from the light incidence end part, and having dispersed scattering particles inside; and with a prism sheet wherein a plurality of prisms are arranged in parallel such that apical angles of the prisms oppose to the light emitting face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
