摘要 A negative electrode for a rechargeable lithium thin film battery is provided to prevent a mechanical crack phenomenon generated in the conventional negative electrode thin films by controlling volume change during a charge and discharge process. A negative electrode for a rechargeable lithium thin film battery includes a negative electrode thin film comprising (a) a silicon-metal active layer(105b) having a metal which does not react with lithium but reacts with silicon and (b) a buffer layer which is a metal layer(103b) or silicon-metal layer having a low silicon content on the silicon-metal active layer, and comprises a multi-layered thin film in which the silicon-metal active layers and buffer layers are alternately laminated.
