Method for preparation to restoration of worked out section within limits of operating iron ore pit includes filling of worked out space with opening rocks with filling dump cuts with layers along one of sides in direction to opposite side with formation of support wall of large lump rock opening rocks. Filling is performed with rock opening rocks from upper not operating rock ledge in direction to surface of earth, at that first at its upper platform with adjoining slant of the lower not operating ledge, by soft rocks, over water discharge groove, by height of layer one forms support wall made of large lump rocks taken by excavator in pit faces of working ledges, one removes those with dump trucks, then space between the support wall and the lower edge of protective wall one fills with respective layers made of usual opening rocks, and support wall and opening rocks in dump one adds in layers in process of filling to surface of earth, at that at side of worked-out space at dump of rocks at level of upper platforms of each second from beneath ledge by soft rocks one fills catcher wall. After that the surface of dump of rocks at area of all the section is restored, and each lower platform of not operating rock ledge within worked out section of pit is filled with usual opening rocks till formation of single slant of dump.
