PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and a control method thereof that can easily make extra prints of a photograph that a user intends when extra prints of a photographic image of many persons, such as a group shot and a commemorative photograph, are made. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the image processor characterized in: converting the image size of an index image to a size with which the face of a subject person can be judged based upon an analytic result of an analyzing means; changing a layout of index images of an index sheet according to the image size obtained through the conversion; analyzing the changed index sheet; and printing stored image data based upon the analytic result.
