<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell scaffold material in whose structure cells and a culture solution can invade to three-dimensionally hold the cells, and which has such a high porosity as enabling the passage of the culture solution and is similar to a marrow wherein many stem cells or hematopoietic cells grow. <P>SOLUTION: This cell scaffold material comprises a sponge-like three-dimensional structure having a porosity of 80 to 99.99% and comprising nano-fibers produced from a synthetic polymer and having a number-average diameter of 1 to less than 1,000 nm. The cell scaffold material can be produced by dispersing nano-fibers produced from a synthetic polymer and having a number-average diameter of 1 to 1,000 nm in a dispersing medium to form a fiber dispersion, and then drying away the dispersing medium from the fiber dispersion to form the sponge-like three-dimensional structure having pores. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
