The control system has a system (20) configured to send a request signal, and a portable unit (1) configured to return an answer signal, containing an identification code, in response to the request signal. The vehicle system has a collating unit to execute an accumulating process of the identification code of the portable unit. A locking-instruction unit is operated by the owner of the portable unit, to issue a locking command for locking a door of the vehicle. An unlocking-instruction unit, provided in a door handle of the vehicle, is operated by the possessor or owner of the vehicle. A function-instruction unit detects a pre-determined operation at the door handle by the possessor or owner. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a device in a vehicle.
