<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device for a vehicle capable of accurately determining failure of a rotation detection means, preventing erroneous determination operation and eliminating effects of detection operation by the rotation detection means when rapid displacement is generated in a belt, in the case where the rotation detection means of a retractor is provided. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt device 10 is provided with a belt reel 22 and a motor 23 driving the belt reel 22 to draw in the belt 13. The seat belt device 10 is further provided with a rotation detection part 25 for detecting rotating operation of the belt reel 22 and a failure determination part 114 for determining a failure state based on a detection signal output from the rotation detection part 25. The rotation detection part 25 includes Hall ICs 103, 104 generating a set of pulse signals comprising a first signal P1 and a second signal P2 of which earlier/later relationship is inverted, in accordance with the rotating direction of the belt reel 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
