PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of removing border light appearing on the outside of a screen. SOLUTION: By narrowing the aperture of a light shielding plate 34, light radiated through a non-normal route is cut while cutting the outside end part of the vertical cross section of the optical path of light radiated through a normal route to a projection lens 30a from a light source device 32, and light passing through the inside of the glass wall of a light tunnel 30c and non-normal light passing through the notch of a relay lens 30f and reaching the aperture 35 is cut, whereby the border light displayed linearly on the outside of the screen of a video is removed.
