PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common encrypting and decrypting method and device in encryption communication between a database server and a client terminal. SOLUTION: This encryption communication system has a received information database for storing encrypted information received from client terminals, a database server having: an information extracting part 11 for extracting information of an encryption or decryption target; a retrieving part 12 for retrieving encryption/decryption target item information; and a second key encrypting/decrypting part 13 for encrypting or decrypting information corresponding to the encryption/decryption target item a second encryption key common between a client terminal and the database server, and client terminals having: an information extracting part 52 for extracting information of an encryption or decryption target when transmitting information to be encrypted to the database server; a first encrypting/decrypting part 54 for performing encryption or decryption by a first encryption key common between client terminals; and a second key encrypting/decrypting part 55 for performing encryption or decryption by a second encryption key.
